The Third Floor design and renovation process typically includes three simple steps:

Step 1 – Consultation

Prior to the Design/Renovation Proposal, the Third Floor team invests in listening to and understanding your project’s specific needs and wants. We begin the process with a phone conversation to gain a clear understanding of the project’s scope and provide a framework for the next steps. We offer a time-saving Client Questionnaire, which can be completed at your convenience. Together, the phone conversation and the questionnaire provide us with valuable information about your preferences and goals.

As a follow-up to the phone consultation and questionnaire, the Third Floor team will meet with you for a complimentary in-home consultation. During the consultation, the team will assess the project’s scale and determine the best customization of design and renovation services to meet your objectives.

Step 2 – Design

After thoroughly assessing your needs, the team will develop a Design/Renovation Proposal to meet your lifestyle and budget goals. To eliminate any confusion or uncertainty, we will deliver an in-person review of your customized design plan. We will discuss the stages of development, timelines, and associated costs, as well as define expectations for the project’s completion.

Upon final review and receipt of a retainer fee, we will begin the project planning and specification selection. During this time, you can relax, and let us take care of what we do best. Based on everything we’ve learned about you and your goals, we will make specific selections and create a formal design presentation that articulates your vision. If at any time during the process you are unsure of any design decision, we will address it and propose an alternative solution to ensure your satisfaction.

Step 3 – Renovation

During the renovation phase, Third Floor will communicate openly and honestly with you about the progress of your project. We will approach each phase of construction with precision. We will work to maintain the timeline, design plan, and overall aesthetic of the project while quickly resolving any concerns or uncertainties that may arise along the way. When the project is complete, we will back our work with a one-year guarantee.
